Default Rear end fluid change on C230

Hey guys,

I have changed the rear end oil in my motorcycle but never on a car, do I just remove the lower drain plug and drain it and then fill it in the upper plug till I see the oil seep out. Would you suggest synthetic or regular. I am leaning towards synthetic.

Thanks all.

It's simple, and always, always remove the fill plug first, then the drain plug. If you drain it, and can't get the fill plug out, you are screwed. When I first buy an older car, I change it with regular gear oil, run it for a couple of weeks, then drain again and fill with synthetic.
