Hi everyone,
My name is Steve and I'm new here! My problem is that my C270 ran out of diesel (or so I thought). I put some fuel in it and it still would not start-battery went dead-recharged but still would not fire up. Now its sitting in the garage lookin sorry.Had a new fuel filter fitted (which we primed) but still will not fire up!!!
Any advice or help would be massively appreciated.....................Steve

 

When I had a diesel I ran to empty it took a lot of cranking to get it started. Diesels depend on high fuel pressure and it can take a bit to build that pressure up. If that doesn't work, get some starter fluid, this one is funny, "start ya bastard". You spray it in the intake and make the most difficult to start diesels start. We used to use on our old diesel boat engines.
