Default Question

I'm looking at getting a 2005 C230 Sport Coupe Kompressor 1.8 turbo, but I've heard there were several problems with that engine. What I was told was the heads were crap and needed replacing often at a cost of $3300 a pop. Has anyone here heard this, can confirm or deny what I've heard? Thanks

I've looked on line like consumer reports and different reviews and nothing as been mentioned about this problem. The guy that told me this is a MB mechanic, so I assumed he knew what he was talking about. So I figured the best place would be a MB forum.

I think if he really knew what he was talking about he would have told you the kompressor is supercharged not turbocharged...
