Default Putting in a new stereo

I'm considering buying one of those fancy stereos. I understand I will lose the ability to use the functions on my steering wheel (volume, scanning radio stations). Will I also lose the ability to use the buttons on the left side of the steering steel? Like the ones that let you check your mileage, temp, mal-functions, etc.

Whats up raiderette02,

You shouldnt have a problem with the left hand buttons on the steering wheel, that checks your temp, mileage, etc. I have an Alpine fold out Dvd player and its works great. I did lose the option to turn the volume up on the steering wheel, but you win some you lose some....Hope this helps!!
