Don't mean to sound stuipid, but I recently bought an 02 c230 coupe and can't seem to find where to check the power steering fluid. I was driving it today and noticed that the steering felt a little tight and was making a little noise. Can anyone help me?

 

Had the same problem.It is not noted in the instruction manual. I followed the lines and found that it is under the plastic engine cover (front driver's side). Open the hood and pull off the front part of the gray cover, there it is.

By the way, don't feel dumb, it took me about a month to figure out.

Hi there...

I was just doing a search here to see if anyone else had reported on noises coming from steering / turning the wheel. I have noticed a "wine" coming from the car (C230 K)only when I am turning pretty sharp.

Is it likely I need to replace / top-up my power steering fluid??? Is this easy to do DIY??? Should I take it in...?

Any help GREATLY appriciated.
