Default phone connectivity??

Hi Guy’s,
I have recently bought a 56 plate, C200 Avantgarde SE estate. I was under the impression when I bought it that as it had all the phone buttons on the radio and steering wheel that I would be able to connect my mobile via Bluetooth to it.
I’m getting the impression from the manual that this is not the case , so anyway the manual refers to a cradle that I dock my phone into, but unfortunately I don’t have this cradle either nor the space in the armrest as described in the manual for a cradle.

As I have the buttons etc I must be able to connect to it somehow, does anyone have any ideas how???

Cheers in advance

G

I am certainly no expert on such matters, as I'm neither a Mercedes wiz or a bluetooth wiz, but I do know that when I purchased my 2007 C230 last July with all the phone buttons you mention, my salesman informed me that those were for an analog phone and would not work with anything recent. Again, I don't know how true this is, ( a car salesman wouldn't tell me a lie would he???) but he seemed to be honest when he told me that as he was actually taking value AWAY from the car.
