Does anyone have problems with the LCD odometer display??? Mine just shows pieces of numbers. Have no clue how many miles I have on my C-280.
To buy a new unit is like 1 K !!!!!!!
Need to know any other way to fix this or to get some device that will keep track of my miles.

My friend had a similar issue, in summers when temperatures were near 100 F outside. And car was parked in sun for a while, his display showed upper part of numbers as broken. Like upper bar of 5 would be lighter than below curve of 5. But it happened with him only on sunny days in summer. In winters it was ok. If someone find any solution to it let me know so that I can help my friend too.

 

LCD dont care for extreme temps. The best way would be to replace it. A good place to get used parts is www.potomacgermanauto.com. I live about 50 miles from them and gotten parts there b4 and they warranty what u get. They also have a place in FL.
