I recently changed my front tires (4 months back). I have since then noticed some noise in the front wheels....pretty loud...well not so loud.. but its like what you would get from a bad tire....or a torn tire if you will.
The rear tires are pretty bad....which I will replace this evening but any clue why the noise? By the way its a 2003 C240 4 Matic. I just hope it isnt something serious

 

I should add that the rear tires are not that bad but need replacement.....the noise is entirely from the front end

 

What tires did you select? Some tires are noisier than others.

I went with stock Conti's. I should also mention that the sound actually got really obvious after I got new brakes for my car...The brakes were done at the Mercedes dealer........someone put it nicely that its like a chopper sound..only it gets louder whent he car is slower....I am worried that it may be a bearing or something... but it feels like an alignment issue

 

the noise sounds more like anti roll bar links and anti roll bar bushes yes very very common on the c class.................................

 

Yes, Conti's are typically a quiet tire.
