When I got my 95 C280 they had to replace the water pump. My wiring harness seems to be in good shape. I had the car at he dealer for its 100000 mile sevice and it just needed little things like a pinon seal. I have 103500 miles on the car now.

 

Hi Area51, You're a lucky owner. I bought mine approx. 8 months ago, paid a good price for it because the dealer told me that the previous owner purchased it from them and had serviced it for the last few years. Well, I've put a bundle into it. The bundle includes a new wire harness, a rebuilt throttle actuator, a pinoin seal in the rear end, a new camshaft actuator and still the check engine light was coming on. Come to find out (at a different mechanic) that the camshaft was retarded one complete notch on the camshaft and the serpentine belt tensioner was shot. Another bundle went into it, but this is it. I'm broke, but fortunately I still love the car. In one sense, I wish it didn't drive so nice. It would be a lot easier to get rid of it at the next problem if I hated it. Damn those Mercedes Benz!!
