Hello,
Just got a 04' C230K, as soon as I turned the lights on I got the following message on the dash center screen:
" Tail Light R, back-up light on"

I think it is due to a bad light bulb on the right tail light, but I checked and the tail lights seem to iluminate fine...

I also got a message after I turned off the car that said:
"2 Malfunctions"

The previous owner did not provide me with the Owner's Guide so I'm out of luck here and any help or guidance will be very much appreciated.

Can't help you with your problem because I'm not familiar with your year model, BUT as far as owner's manuals go, you can go to www.mbusa.com Under the Owner's Online section you can register your car w/ MBenz and pull up the owner's manual and other stuff you might not have.

I found out that it was a burned tail light, I replaced the light bulb and the message went away...I did register on the owners section at mbzusa site but the owners manual for my car is not yet available on-line.
