NEED HELP 1999 c240 sport estate!!!!!!!
#3
There is two on this vehicle. One on the drivers side under the dash near the hood release handle. This should be under a flip open cover and is rectangular-ish in shape. This port is used only for emissions control. Mercedes-Benz dealers and diagnostic equipment does not use this port.
On this 1999 vehicle the OBD port is circular in shape.
I dont know if your vehicle is left or right hand drive, and due to a production break there is some differences, but this should help: Open the hood, stand at the front of the vehicle and face the engine. Up on either the left or the right hand side near the windshield and the hood hinge there should be a black plastic panel. On the black plastic panel there should be a circular cap with a 13mm plastic nut head in the middle. It's under there!
If there is no circular cap then, again on either the left or the right hand side, up near the hood hinge, there should be a rectangular black plastic panel - this should open up easily, just has a small catch on it, no need to remove any screws. Open this and there should be a load of fuses underneath. Its the round port at the front of this!
Hope this helps.
