According to the K&N web site they say the filtration is supposed to be better...
YOU'RE a BRAVE GUY RUNNING WITH NO FILTER.... What if an insect gets in the engine down the air duct; except for instant crimation, lol, what else would there remains do?

Meaning they(K&N Air Filters) don't filter very much. Had some link to diagram somewhere.
So you might drive with the filter better, but for shorter time. Just like driving with no filter at al

Any of you wrench heads have an opinion on this?

Yeah. Don't listen to the Polack. He is, after all, a Polack. He's not the only K&N filter scaremonger. They have lots of bad things to say but nothing to back it up. If anyone has data showing K&N filters are bad, show it to us or STFU.

I used K&N before, Firstly was in my Grand Cherokee, didn't have single problem in that, but the stock air box prevents debris getting on there
being an SUV.
Then I put one in my Chryler Neon, which again had no problems, except when first installed seemed to do less milage on a tank full. But did get better in the long run....
Guys, the reason i have a concern is because the 90 degree V engine has 2 straight through air ducts that both ram air to the engine, with the air box off of the top of the motor the air scoop is about the size of a standard CD, and has wire mesh over...
Has anybody gone down this road on a V?
Really appreciate the responses....!!!!
