what you guys top out at for mpg on the 240 series automatics? I managed to get 28mpg on highway driving recently....i had the dealer put the max suggested lbs of air pressure in my tires.

average mpg during the cars lifespan so far is 17/18.

 

i got about 28 also hwy with around 34 lbs in all the tires..
anyone think that the increase in pressure hurts the drivability ??

 

i was like 2lbs under the recommended pressure level for the tires and i felt the performance difference, it was leaning in the turns which i found to be not normal. now that im on the high end of the pressure for the tires, it drives nicely.....and no the ride shouldnt be affected to the extent you feel a significant change...its still within the recommended specs.

 

28mpg for a c240 is about average if you have 4matic(all wheel drive). Without 4matic you could probibly get over 30mpg
