Default Model Comparison

How does the power of a 2006 C230 sport compare to a 2005 C240? I have a 2006 C230 Sport and I have been driving a C240 as a loaner. It seems to have alot more power than the C230.

Default RE: Model Comparison

if i am not mistaken...

06 230 is a 2.5L V6 with 201hp
05 240 is a 2.6L V6 with 168hp

horsepower(s) are advertised power values and do not translate to how peppy a car accelerates.

how aggressively a car can accelerate has to do with its computer programming nowadays, all things being equal.

(of course there are other variables too, such as, how clean the air filter is, the type and condition of the tires, and how the car is loaded at the time.)

even with a much lower advertised horsepower, i would not be surprised if 05-240 accelerates better.

an 05 240 and an 06 230 are both v6 engines both the 06 is a brand new design (m272) the 05 240 is the 112 engine but
the pdi cars ive driven with the m272 are phenominal and you can really tell a difference in power and accelaration
