We'll have further updates in May and in August. We especially need more participants for years with sample size notes...or that we don't have any stats for.

So, how have these cars been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the C-Class now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

2013 C-Class: 19, low
2012 C-Class: 24, low
2011 C-Class: 21, low, small sample size
2010 C-Class: 47, moderate
2009 C-Class: 60, moderate
2008 C-Class: 53, moderate
2007 C-Class: 16, low, small sample size
2006 C-Class: 44, low, small sample size
2005 C-Class: 95, moderate, small sample size
2004 C-Class: 59, low, very small sample size
2003 C-Class: 55, low, very small sample size
2002 C-Class: 79, low, small sample size
2001 C-Class: 65, low, very small sample size

Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2013 C-Class: 87, < 1
2012 C-Class: 79, < 1
2008 C-Class: 55, < 1

No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

Our reliability stats for the C-Class now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

Repair trips per 100 cars:

2015 C-Class: 73, high, small sample size
2013 C-Class: 8, low
2012 C-Class: 26, low
2011 C-Class: 16, low, small sample size
2010 C-Class: 44, low
2009 C-Class: 52, moderate
2008 C-Class: 56, moderate
2007 C-Class: 29, low, very small sample size
2006 C-Class: 38, low, small sample size
2005 C-Class: 67, low, small sample size
2004 C-Class: 53, low, very small sample size
2003 C-Class: 53, low, very small sample size
2002 C-Class: 66, low, small sample size
2001 C-Class: 67, low, very small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2013 C-Class: 96, < 1
2012 C-Class: 75, < 1

If a model year isn't listed, or its sample size is small, then we especially need more owners involved.

Thank you for your extensive stats for the C-class, MK. One thing I'm curious and would like to see is to separate the C-class into different engine sizes and poll what are the most frequent repairs and at what average mileage. This could prevent any unseen issues that could be repaired before they happen.
Case in point my car is a 2005 C230 auto with 113,000 miles. I was driving down the highway in the fast lane with no shoulder on the left and suddenly my engine quit, I knew right away it was my fuel pump. It was quite scary to sit and wait 30 minutes with cars whizzing by at 80+ MPH for the CHP to come and rescue me by pushing my car to the right shoulder. Had I known this is something that would give out I would have changed it at 100k as a preventative maintenance item.
At 80k I changed the auto trans pilot bushing I got from Amazon, I just had to change it again at 112k but this time I got the part from the dealer and found out that Mercedes has actually upgraded the part as they already know of this issue, the part was only $26 and I could feel that the o-rings were made of better quality than the one I got from Amazon (for $33!). The only other things I had done was motor mounts at around 90k and a spray alternator pulley at 60k. The car has been quite reliable otherwise.

Thank you.
