my 240 sounds like ****, and i want it to run a lil better too, anyone have a quality intake solution or anything pertaining to that?
also maybe an exhaust or muffler kit
Go to the following address http://www.globalautoshop.com/access...benz_index.htm. I bought a very nice CAI at a reasonable price, which sounds good and has increased the cars performance, at least by the seat of the pant. Also, my son who has driven the car for a while, even before I installed the CAI, noticed how much more acceleration it had especially in the 3500rpm and up range. One thing they tell you to do in the directions, is to disconnect the negative ground cable only for 10 minutes, this resets the CPU back to default. Which will adjust the MSA to the larger quanity of air.

Eisenmann Sport exhaust will go nicely with your C240.

Just a couple of points.

Are you saying it does not sound like a V8 Indy car?? or are you saying it sounds rough and poor idling with performance compared to the same model in good condition.

If it is the first, then you should remeber it's a Mercedes-Benz - YES they are generally fast - BUT built for luxury - not to sould like a street/hot rod or a rally car.[:-]

and the second - poor performance and rough idling, then get the poor thing serviced - That is the best performance "MOD" you can give a car that is NOT brand new.. Then look at mods etc when you know you wont blow the motor to peices.

FINALLY, If you want a more powerful car, dont don't waste $ hundreds or even thousands $ - in a feeble PIMP MY RIDE attempt, just trade upto a bigger engine...

Mods should always be tasteful and not PIMP MY RIDE style.[:'(]

Good Luck

Status: offline dude last nite at around 9 oclock my friend and i were rollin around town, he drives a modded 3 series, and were hittin bout 85 on this road, and near the end of it there is a railroad track, and a steep incline to go over it. there is a stop sign at the rail road but neither of us stopped. SOO we both ****in hit that "ramp" goin 80 -85 and launched 20 feet into the air, and 40 feet far. Im not estimating those measurements, there happened to be a cop goin the opposite direction and he said we he saw us landing he was scared for his life. But was impressed at both landings. THe only bad thing is i killed my rear suspension, broke front axle, and sealents in the transfer case. the 3 series messed up front end bumber, hood, and bent his 1500$$ BBS front right rim. No tickets issued, too bad we didnt get it on tape!!!!!!!!
