Default Immobiliser probem C180 auto

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the sequence to get the immobiliser de-activated on a C180 Classic automatic, the car wouldn't start at all at first, initially thought it was the battery. The breakdown guy got it started after leaving the key turned in ignition for a few seconds, but now we cant get the gears from Park to Drive !!! There is a button on the dash for the tow but this isn't coming on.

Is there a way to get it into tow mode ?

Is there a certain sequence on the key fob to get immob deactivated.

Any replies would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have a dead A190 - the immobiliser has come on and I have no lights, nothing.
