Put the ignition key in the #2 position (do NOT start the car)

Scroll the menu button on the steering wheel until the vehicle mileage shows

Use the up and down button until the "wrenches" appear

Press and HOLD the TRIP RESET button on the dash for ten seconds and then release it

Press and HOLD the TRIP RESET button again for another three seconds and release it

The vehicle service indicator should now be reset.

OOps. Sorry. I gave you the service interval reset info, not the check engine light.
Depending on what the problem was, sometimes the check engine light will go away by itself in time. Otherwise, use a code scanner or borrow one or go to any auto parts place like Auto Zone, etc. and have them scan the car and press the check engine light delete button on the scanner. I bought an inexpensive OBDII scanner for my car a long time ago, and they are good for pulling codes when the check engine light comes on and turning off the light when you fix the problem. I think it's an Actron from amazon. Sorry about the goof.
