Default Headlight Question

We just purchased a C240 2002. Sometimes when weturn the caroff the front left headlight and rear left tail light stay on indefinitely. What could be causing this problem? Thanks for any help.

Default RE: Headlight Question

You are turning the **** too far to the left. Take a look at the manual. You actually want the O setting which is the third position (straight up). You now are in what I think is called the parking mode. You would use this if you were in aEuropean country parking overnighton a narrow street where you had to park halfway on the sidewalk with your car partly out in the narrow street. You would leave your lights on like you now have them so that people would not hit your car. They draw very little power in this mode and could stay on all night without draining your battery.

That makes sense. I have been to Europe. They do have a lot of narrow streets. Thanks for the help.
