Default Headlight issues

Hello all, new to the benz world. My wife just bought a used 2007 C230 sport from a dealer, without the users manual. Nice car but the headlights point in opposite directions, like Marty Feldmans eyes, for the old timers. Anywho the carfax was clean of accidents and on first look, no adjustments for the lights can be identified by my ignorant eye. The left headlight points up, the right points down. So my question is, Is this an easy fix, or does this go to the dealer for reapair? Could someone have replace the bulbs and not install them properly? Any Help will be most appreciated.

could just be that the headlight bulb is not installed correctly. alot of times people try to change there own and dont actually get them installed the right way. they must be sitting flush in the housing or else the clip to hold in the bulb wont latch into place...maybe the headlamp assembly is broken someplace or could just need to be aimed

Try to reposition the bulb thats out of alignment. Its easy to seat into position but someone may have screwed up. As I recall small tabs fit nicely into the assembly.

thank you I will look at the bulb. Is there an easy way to aim the assy? The repair manual I have is generic. I have been looking on web to no avail. Any info would be appreciated.

It was the headlight setting itself. I think the prior owner must have played a joke or had seriously bad eyes, but one was adjusted all the way up, the other down. all is well, that you all who replied.

Consider yourself lucky.

I was about to post a question about whether or not you had the bi-xenons and that it was possible that something was wrong with the self leveling system. That's what I'm going through and believe that I may have fixed it myself.

Default Just a recap

Thanks for the posts. I have been trying to figure out how to adjust my headlights as well. I have the EXACT problem, on the the EXACT model. My driver's side needs to come way down, and my passenger's side needs to go way up. Could you go a bit more in detail about the location, and the procedure of the headlight adjustment bolt? Thank you very, very much!

In my case, I reconnected this strap between the front torsion bar and the device that's in effect is a leveling sensor. Its located under the extreme front driver side corner.
