Harmon Kardon iPod Integration with C230K

Does the above product work with a 2003 Mercedes C230 Kompressor? The C230K has a CD changer and a phone option. Could the iPod integration take place of the phone? Or is it necissary to replace the CD changer... I want to keep the changer if possible, but if not I want it easily replaceable.
If it doesn't work with a C230, can you recommend any alternatives that do? I have an 80 GB iPod with about 35GB of music on it. I don't exactly want to carry around 600+ CDs or mess with changing out the CDs.

I have a solution for you in the form of an Alpine CDA 9857 with the iPod link. The radio is less than a year old and works great with the iPod. You'd lose the cd changer and your steering wheel audio controls but you could always pickup an alpine cd changer in the future if you really want one and the AI link on the 9857 supports Alpine's bluetooth which runs $200 and allows you to use car's audio system when placing or receiving calls. I have the radio, iPod link, antenna adapter, dash kit with storage pocket and a harness that works for the speaker wires.
