Hello,

Have a 97 C280. When the environmental system (ie heater/air cond. unit) is turned on first thing in the morning or when it has been sitting for a while, a gurrgling noise comes from back behind the panel. It sounds like water running down.

Anyone have any ideas?

it's just the expansion valve.

the pressure from the high side going to the low side. just following the law of ... whatever.

freon under pressure is liquid, but it must be flow that make sounds.

 

Hmmmm, I've had the car for four years and just a month ago it started making this noise. Is it just the car getting old?

 

i guess it does.

nothing is made to last forever. they said the diamond is... but my girlfriend once throw it back to me.
