hello everybody

My mb c220 cdi, when the ignition is switched on, the glow plug indicator light comes on for little period of time then goes off ready to start the engine. When the engine starts, the glow plug indicator light should go off. Due to some problem the glow plug light comes back on again and stays on for about one minute and then goes off.
This occurs everytime I start the car in cold or normal temperature conditions.

Please can anyone help?

I cant help you but i have exactly the same problem! My car has started doing that today so ill also be grateful for any help

 

I ended up replacing it....

It is cheap...so don't worry

 

i think ill have to replace my glow plug(s) too. So how much did you end up paying for it?
