i just replaced mine tonight. make sure u have some cutters to cut the stock clamps off. then u have to make sure you have the small worm clamps. also helps if u open the gas cap first. It is right behind the rear driver tire next to the exhaust. 6 plastic 10mm nuts have to come off. Then u have to use a torx bit. Then pinch both side of the plastic bracket. Then cut the 4 clamps. The round part of the fuel filter goes on the right side. Reinstall everything and you are going to have to crank the car about 15 times to get the fuel pump flowing. That is pretty poor design that the system doesn't pressurize the fuel lines when you turn the key. But hey it is also poor to design a stinkin fuel fitler that cost $125

good luck,

Hi folks,

Came across this forum looking for how to change the Fuel Filter on my C200. The abobe info is great - thanks folks.

But I wanted to share with you one thing - here in the UK the Fuel Filter is costing me the euivalent of only $45 US Dollars!! (and that is from the Mercedes Dealer - not a Parts Store and at todays ridiculous exchange rate)

Still - I guess that I'm a lot closer to Germany than you guys!
