Ever wondered what the INSIDE of your fuel filter looks like??? Photos....
I just replaced the fuel filter on my 2005 C230K with 65,000 miles on it. This is the "recommended" mileage at which MB says you should replace the filter. I cut the end off to look at the element inside. (No, I didn't blow up the garage doing so).
A bit dirty, but nothing to get too excited about. If anybody would like a photo tutorial of how to do this job yourself and save about $215.00 over MB doing it, I'll be glad to post the photos of that job as well. You can do this job for around $35.00 if you do it yourself and have a small selection of tools ready. 30 min. max for the whole thing. That even includes a cell phone call in the middle and a barking dog.

No real problems since new. It has been more dependable than the 3 series BMW I had before this.
That's really the reason I bought a MBenz. Just to try something different. I have an extended warranty so I'm good for
quite a long time, just in case. I learned the hard way on that one with the BMW. Ouch.
