Engine Damage?
Hey Everyone,
I own a 2005 mercedes c230 kompressor. About 2 months ago i had an oil change done and afterwards a notification popped up stating " Oil limit exceeded" or something along those lines. The light went off a few days later and i havent seen it sense. But now my car is driving extremely bad to the point where i havent been driving it for the past 2 weeks because i have an acura as well. When the car is sitting idle it will rev up occasionaly as high as 1600 RPMs and make a really weird sound and the whole car will shake. But it doesnt always do it.It is almost like the motor is going because lack of oil? Im not completely sure yet. Money is tight right now that is why i have been reluctant to take it in. I was wondering if anyone had this same problem and how much it was to get it taken care of?

RE: Engine Damage?
There is a service bulletin for vaccum line replacement. Take it in to your local MB service department and just tell them you are coming in to get the repairs done for the vaccum line service bulletin. Don't call it a recall when you take it in they may look at you strange or at least mine did. He said the service bulletin is not the same as a recall but oh wellhe's the pro not me You may also want him to check compression for all cylinders just incase. When I took mine in for the service bulletin they happen to check the compression and found the #1 cylinder had low compression. To make a long story short they had to replace the cylinder head and control module. Luckily this was all covered under warranty.
