Eaton M62 blower questions...
Hey everyone, this is my first post on this board, and I just had a few questions about the Eaton M62 supercharger that comes on 230 Kompressors.
I have a 2001 Cavalier (laugh, I allow you) and I've decided my best route of forced induction was the blower from Kompressor motors. They are cheap ($250 in ebay), good-sized for my motor (2.2L), and relatively small. What I was wondering was:
1 - the elecric clutch. Would I be able to hook up an "on/off" switch in my car to turn the blower on and off, or is that computer-controlled?
2 - pulley snout. The way I have to fit this in my engine bay, I would need about a 12" extension for the pulley to reach the drive belt. Does anyone make a snout for these blowers, or is it possible to have one made to fit? Would the clutch still work if I put the pulley on the end of an extension (if it works in the first place)?
3 - Oiling method. I know that Eaton M90 blowers from Pontiac GTP's and Buick Regals are "self-oiling." That is, you fill up the blower with oil, and than change it every 30K miles. There's no plumbing running to the actual engine itself.
4 - stock psi. What is the stock PSI these blowers run at?
Thanks for any help you can provide
