Just purchased a pristine 2005 C240 5 spd auto. Great car. I'm curious about cruising rpms - I'm turning 2800revs at 60mph. Car seems happy, but this is seems a bit high compared to other cars I've owned. Is this normal for the OHC over-square V6?

shift through the gears manually with the shifter tiptronic as you are accelerating and make sure it goes through all of the gears when you shift manually.they should be 5 gears.

Thanks - that's what I suspected when I looked at the bore/stroke ratio on the OHC engine. I must say that I'm impressed with the performance and handling. The car just wants to go and the auto trans is seamless. I'm used to spinning up my Porsche 924 manual 5 speed since it requires revs for torque also. Thanks for your help.
