Changing shift knob on automatic w203?!?!?

Is it possible to change the shift **** on the automatic w203?? And if so, can it be replaced with any Manual shift ****??

Any info and/or instructions would be awesome

I replaced the automatic **** on my SLK with a stick **** that I've had on a Honda and a BMW previously. Can't be too much different. The leather boot is different however.

Is it a twist off like any other ****?? Because I tried applying some strength in twisating it off and it wouldnt budge.....im afraid if I add any more power, ill rip it off

no pat the shift **** u have cant be twisted off... im 99% sure... however i wonder if u could pull it off [&:]

First, you need to remove shift **** trim. Then, you will have access to the base of the shift **** which can be loosened by twisting it counter-clockwise.
