Can my iPod be Macintosh formatted?
I have tried to research this, but have not found any answers yet. I currently use a PC-formatted iPod Video with my iPod Integration Kit, however, I own a Mac Laptop, and in order for me to update my iPod software, I need to switch it to be Mac-formatted. My question is are Mac-formatted iPods compatible with the C-Class iPod Integration Kit?

RE: Can my iPod be Macintosh formatted?
It doesn't matter if it's PC or Mac formatted, it puts out the same signal to the iPod interface. If you do switch from PC to Mac you will lose everything on your iPod, it will be like new. So you'll have to move your music to your Mac and stick it in iTunes andsync from scratch. My daughter, that has a PC desktop and iBook laptop has decided it wasn't worth the trouble and keeps everything on the PC. I'm getting my first Mac laptop this weekend for work, they insistedIget it and I think it's cool butI don't know if I would buy it if itwas my money, sucker costs $3K, can get a pretty nice Windows laptop for half that.
