What do you want to find ? what is the problem seats are inop? or batty keeps going dead . only part of the seat functions work ? with volt meter place black probe (neg) on ground point( seat bolt) and the red(pos probe) to the thicher red wire into the seat module with the key on sould read 12v or so thats means module receiving power and you have to look at the signal from the door control module(dcm) of right/left dooor behind the door panel . these cars w203 (what you have) DID HAVE ISSUE WITH THE SEAT MODULE but for killing the car batttery. the seat would work most of the time sometimes they were inop as well . with the volt meter set to rad amperage on 10amp scale place the pos. red probe to neg terminal of batt. with aligator clip and the neg. probe to neg. post of battery (youll be doing current draw test to see if seat module drawing excess power) NOTE: THE KEY AND DOME LIGHT MUST BE OFF IF YOU ACTIVATE ANYTHING THE FUSE IN METER WILLBLOW !!! leave with the hood open and hood latches locked over leave the neg. terminal ofbatt just so it touches the neg. terminal with the meter hook up as stated . WAIT 20 MIN AND REMOVE THE NEG. TERMINAL with meter on amp dc ma setting 10/20 amp the reading should be less than .06 amp draw after additional 5 min if reading .120 or more .8 , .5, 2.6 wait 10 min see if drops you might have waken can system which may take 20-30 min to sleep if the read is below .05 or 50 miliamps or less its normal and no excessive draw in system . if higher disconnect passanger side seat module connector wait 15-20 min if amp draw still high or no change disconnect driverside seat module if drops within spec thats the bad one and will have to be replaced.
tHERE was a issue with the seat module internaly shorting causing high amp draw and would eentually stop working. hopes this helps reply back
