C320 Satellite Navigation Unit - Installed?

I just bought my wife a 2005 C320 4-Door Mercedes. It has a navigation unit that seems really nice, and it hasa "Phone" and "Satellite" selection available.
At least it appears to be available, I see buttons with these selections.
I just don't know if they work.
But, I want to use the satellite option, and I would also like to see about getting her an IPOD hook up.
Is there a way I can tell if it is installed?
If so, how do I get it hooked up?
And finally anyone with information to an economical IPOD hookup would be a hero of mine.
Thanks so much,
B Man

On the '02, if the car is fitted with the Command/Navigation, there is a small plug inside the glove box for an AUX input. You simply need a cord with two ends like the one on your IPOD headphones to go from the IPOD to this plug. Then, set the "radio" to AUX using the controls on the screen and listen to the IPOD through the radio. If you wish to power the IPOD, that would require another cord from the cigar lighter socket to the bottom of the IPOD. They are available wherever you can buy IPOD's and accessories. This would only be necessary if you are driving longer than the IPOD battery will last.
Assume that the '05 is the same arrangement, or at least similar.
