I bought a used car and i loade up the cd changer with a couple of cds i made on my computer...and every time i press the cd button, i says co cd even though i have all six cds in there. can anyone help me fix this.. thanks

 

Happens on my 240 all the time where the cartridge gets "stuck" and it won't even eject and cd player sasy no CD.

Solution is to press on the cartridge while it's inserted and try to wiggle it. If your' doesn't get stuck take out the cartridge and reinsert all the CD trays. Try it with just 1 cd .. etc.

 

is there a special way to make the cd for the c240? i tried that and it didnt work. on my computer what do i do?

 

No. Any audio cd should work fine. You have a defective player most likely if you've tried my above suggestions and it doesn't work. Do normal non-burnt cds work for you?

 

no nothing works... i guess ill go to the mercedes dealer....if they do try to replace my changer ill just get the whole navigation colsole thing. How much does that cost?

 

when i insert my magazine in the changer it makes some noise and than after a while of making the noise it just says "magazine empty." While its making the noise the the cd things reads" cd1... track and the little things on the bottom"

 

can this be in mp3 format or does it have to be in like .wav or some other thing???

 

I just had the same problem in my 1999 SL500. Took the CD player apart, lubed all internal moving parts with light grease, moved all parts by hand and tested unit while it was apart so I could see the moving parts. It now works fine. I think most units are just jammed or a part is slightly stuck.

 

It seems like everybody had the same problem. I can not get CD out from the tray. It doesn't come out at all. I think it's a bad CD but how I can get it out? I tied all the tricks. Any idea? Please.

 

I recently had the same prob with cd changer-player. Took it to thhe dealer who replaced the magazine since its under CPO Warranty.
