I have a C240 2001, having a blue smoke coming from the back sometimes when I am driving. Then, the engine lightcomes on? Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? I apprecialte any suggestion....

 

It is caused by engine oil entering the cylinder area and being burned along with the fuel air mixture. More likely in older or higher mileage vehicles than newer cars with fewer miles. . If too much oil leaks into the cylinder and fouls the spark plug, it will cause a misfire in that cylinder, and the spark plugs will have to be replaced or cleaned of the oil. I suggest to check to check all your car to see if there's other problems. I had some problem before, after checking all my Mercedes C230 parts, my mechanic said that I only have to change oil. True enough after that I haven't had problems.. Good luck

That's me again. I strongly appreciate your advised concerning the c240 blue smoke. Do you know any mechanic that can clean all the part, orfixed that problem beside the dealers, actually in Baltimore, a good one, any suggestion....Thank you...
