C230k A/C Intermittant problems

I have searched the forums and found various posts, but no real solutions.
My A/C has been working fine for the past 4 months, and recently just stopped blowing cold air.
The blower is working fine, and if I turn up the dials to HOT it blows HOT, but lowering them to COLD blows outside air.
The air recirculation is off, as well as EC.
This problem happened some time ago and somehow corrected itself after a few days. Now it is not correcting itself.
It appears the electric cooling fans are not working, nor do I hear the compressor kicking in. I do not believe it is a problem with the compressor.
Also, after a recent very heavy rain storm, my front passenger side floor was soaked with water from the fan unit under the dash.
Any help?
