C230 Sport low in front...CRUNCH!
Well it could have been worse....
I was making a left into an end parking space - swinging towards curb
on the right. AWFUL noise! What was that? I have pulled into spots like
this 1,000,000 times without hitting the curb!
Back up.....go forward again. Oh boy! Bad noise.....$ signs start
dancing in my head. It sounds like the whole front bumper is laying
on the ground.
I get out and take a look (but it is dark out), and I do see the plastic
"cover" that fits inside the right front bumper and closes off the wheel
well is hanging on the ground.
It comes off fairly easily.....
Upon further inspection in the morning there is a very small scratch
on the painted bottom part of the bumper and apparently this plastic
piece ripped off without causing any additional damage.
So here is the good news. I go to the Dealer to get a new one....
$31 + 2 $2 plugs required to reinstall it.
Well that could have been worse....certainly sounded bad.
Watch out, the front of these Sport Models are LOW!
