Default C230 sport front pad replacement

Hi can anyone tell me the procedure to replace my front brake pads on C230 sport, the calipers have pistons on either side of the pads and have pins holding the pads in, do i just knock these pins thru with a punch and the pads come out? thanks for any info..

yeah, pop the pins out. then use channel locks to start compressing the pads. then use a a flat head screwdriver to push the pistons in all the way
with the old pads still in place. replace one pad at a time. pads are directional. look at backing plate of new pads for an arrow on the lower edge.

Channel locks? If the caliper is removed. No need to do that.

With the caliper still bolted to the spindle, pull the pin and wedge one piston at a time back into the caliper with a big screwdriver. Slide old pad out, slide new one in. Buy a set of wear sensors - you will probably ruin one or more when trying to pull them from the pads.

Don't forget top press the brake pedal a couple of times after each side.

If your reservoir is full before you replace the pads, you should remove some of the fluid so it does not overflow and melt your paint.
