c230 rpm drop at idle

WELL after throtle body clean its still there.
AT IDLE RPM'S GO DOWN THEN BACK UP WHILE IN DRIVE AT STOP LIGHT AND IDLING, NOT EVERY TIME. OTHER THEN THAT NO PROBLEM WITH ACCELERATION AND CEL NOT ON. MECHANIC SAID DIDNT DO IT TO HIM.
WHAT WOULD CAUSE RPMS TO FLUCUTATE AT IDLE?
SPARK PLUGS CHANGED 6 MONTHS AGO AND NOTICED IT AFTER ONE MONT. CAN THAT DO IT.
1998 C 230.

ok take your car to a dealer you need to have a star diagnosis hook to your car so that the tech can see whats going on yes i relize that a dealer costs more $$$$$ but a dealer will stand behind there work a little more that an independant shop will. let me tell you something independant shops are where bad mechanics go after they get fired from dealers most dealer only employ good techs thats why they have to charge more

I am asking question to see if anyone has idea, cause dealer WILL start changing parts with problem still there.
I HAVE DEALER EXPERIENCE AND NOT GOOD!
So if ANYONE HAS HAD THIS or has idea from symptoms please post, cause that is what forums are for, otherwise take to dealer!!

lore benz, you must see if you have a vaccum leak on this car. check all vaccum lines and hoses. you should have it scanned with SDSto see if there are any fuel trim codes, as i have replaced a million MAF's on these cars.if not then you may have a throttle motor going south. tell your mechanic to use a smoke machine on this thing.
no spark plugs will not do it in an of themselves. butthe techcould have created the problem while replacing them.
