C230 2006 service B reset
I have looked through just about as many post but can't find anything on the 2006 reset.... I did print out the 2005 info and tried it once, but to no avail... Does the 2006 have a different way of doing it or do I need to be more patient? New to MB, but love my car... Had it a week now.

off the top of my head i think its key in position2, go to service due screen then hold in button on the instrument cluster for 10 seconds, it should beep then be reset. also make sure driver door is closed when doing that.

RE: C230 2006 service B reset
Hi......I have posted the procedure a couple of times, but it was for my 2005.
I'm guessing it's the same as the '06, but I don't really know.
I'm happy to post the steps again for those who would like them and perhaps for you to try
if the other people's way doesn't work. I know this was SO frustrating to me until I had a
mechanic show me. So, here it is again and I hope it works for you.
MERCEDES BENZ SERVICE INTERVAL RESET INSTRUCTIONS
(This works on my 2005 C230K.......I don't know what others it works on!)
CLOSE ALL DOORS
PUT THE IGNITION KEY IN THE #2 POSITION (DO NOT START THE CAR!!!)
SCROLL THE MENU BUTTON UNTIL THE VEHICLE MILEAGE SHOWS
USE THE UP AND DOWN BUTTON UNTIL ONE OR TWO "WRENCHES" ARE VISIBLE
HOLD THE TRIP RESET BUTTON IN FOR TEN SECONDS AND RELEASE
HOLD THE TRIP RESET BUTTON IN FOR ANOTHER THREE SECONDS AND RELEASE
The vehicle service interval should be reset now if you did it that way.
Hope this helps you or anybody else looking to do the same.

RE: C230 2006 service B reset
Here are the steps to reset the service indicator for the 2006 Mercedes C230. I have a subscription to www.eautorepair.netwhich is where this information comes from. Tons of information there for this car. Very much worth the subscription price in my opinion. (This isn't a paid advertisement. Just sharing my personal opinion.) I've used this procedure myself. It works.
The Key Players:
Multifunction Display, Reset/Illumination Button, Menu Buttons (left side of steering wheel), Display Buttons (next to Menu Buttons, for moving around within the menu), +/- Buttons (on right side of steering wheel)
The Process:
1. Turn key in ignition switch to position "1".
2. Press either Menu Button repeatedly until the basic kilometer or miles display is shown on the multifunction display .
3. Press the Reset/Illumination Button 3 times.
(You'll hear an audible beep and the voltage is shown on the multifunction display.)
4. Turn key in ignition switch to position "2".
5. Press the lower Display Button.
(The Service Display appears with miles remaining/exceeded etc.)
6. Press the Reset/Illumination Button 1 time.
(The Oil Type menu appears in the multifunction display.)
7. Select the engine oil grade by pressing the +/- Buttons.
(You may have only 1 option or multiple options depending on your engine.)
8. Press the upper Display Button.
9. Press the Reset/Illumination Button for 3 seconds to confirm.
10. Press the upper Display Button to return to the Service Display menu.
11. Press the upper Menu Button to display the kilometer or miles reading.
12. Turn key in ignition switch to position "0".
Good Luck.
