I'm considering buying a 95 C220 for a commuter rig. I do about 95% driving on the highway and need to know the "REAL" world highway MPG.

I got a W202 2000 C280. That gets about 25mpg on the highway. Unfortunatly the W202 C CLass is very small so if ur 6ft or taller then i wouldnt get oneand they are very uncomfterable. I bought it because I drive about 120 miles a week and wanted something with better mpg. My E320 Gets no lie 34mpg on the highway. way better then my c280,

 

My 1995 c220 gives an overall gas usage of 34-35 mpg[imperial]which I am quite happy with.On a recent trip of 180 miles trvelling no faster than 100kph it did 41 mpg.Hard acceleration and braking does increase fuel consumption.
