C220 diagnosis
Howdy, first time post
Ive got a '96 C220 with a bit of a transmission issue I believe...wanted to get some other's opinions.
'96 C220, 119,xxx miles. Fluids replaced every 3-4000 miles. 2nd owner, complete service history, no wrecks/damage.
Regardless of operating temperature, I am experiencing very late shifts, especially between 2nd and 3rd (though it does occur at all shift points). This happens both uphill and downhill. RPMs are not climbing excessively high during these late shifts. When the shift doeshappen, it is only slightlyharder than normal.
Additionally, reverse has developed a bit of grinding under certain load conditions.
Any ideas? Other info needed? Solution/repair?
Thanks!
