Default A/C problems

i have a 2000 c230 komp. when i started it yesterday, it was fine until i turned on the A/C. about 10 seconds later i noticed a noise coming from the engine.. figured it was nothing. drove about two miles down the road and smelled "burning rubber" then all a sudden my A/C went from cold air to warm. i shut the A/C off, pulled over to check and came across my two front fans (in front of the radiator) were not working. It does look like the belt is still on the A/C compressor though. fuses are good also. anyone have any ideas? thanks

Default RE: A/C problems

Usually burned rubber smell is from the belt not turning something.

I would suspect stuck compressor or loose belt tensionser.
