My oil light came on today and said to pull over to gas station and I did.i checked my oil and it was low,I bought a quart of Mobil ow 40 synthetic and put it in and noticed that it started smoking really bad. It was burning oil from tail pipe exhaust and when I opened the hood it was smoking there also.my car never did this before,I just bought it and haven’t even had the oil changed
did I put in the wrong oil that is to thin or is there something else that went wrong,my car has 126000 miles.please help jimbo

 

Your car has 126,000 miles and you have never changed the oil? adding the wrong weight oil wouldn't cause this problem.
