Bose factory subwoofer lacks bass
Has anyone had any success with getting better output from the factory Bose subwoofer. I have a c230 coupe, the sub is locatedabove the right tire well in the hatch. I just can belive that Bose or MB would install a weak sub. Im not looking for it to shake windows but it should add a rich tone to my music. There is not much room to place dynomat in a copartment. Would it help? What have you done? My last resort will be to install a self powered 8" bazooka tube from my last car. I just didnt want to eat up the space in the hatch.
Have you considered installing small subs on the sides? You can get 6" subs that when used in combination provide quite a bit of power and only take up a little space. You can also get it set up so that you can remove the sub if needed. Most shops will install with velcro and adapters for the sub so that you can take out the sub without hassle.
