Bleeding the brakes
Greetings All. I have a 2001 C240 and I am about to replace a cut brake hose on my right front caliper. I know I will need to bleed the brakes and use the DOT4+ brake fluid. Is there a special brake bleeding procedure I should follow? I will bleed the right front brake first then I would also like to bleed out some fluid on the other brakes. I appreciate any suggestions you will offer.
Thanks,
Bill

RE: Bleeding the brakes
Yes, you can do it that way if you want. When I do it on any car, I usually start with the right rear, which is usually the furthest
away from the master cyl. on most cars. Just be sure you keep the master full and not let the fluid reach the bottom while bleeding. You'll be fine. ONLY use fresh, Dot 4 fluid from an unopened container. And try not to make a mess>>>this stuff can
be nasty on certain things. I always cut a small piece of that plastic sheeting stuff and put it down under each wheel as I do them
as to avoid any mess.
