Default Bad day...

Hey every1 im new to the forums. I have a 1998 C230. So today i got into my car for the first time since last night only to discover that my mp3 player and the connection for my Valentine V1 was stolen. So now i have no music...and no protection from the cops. I dont really wanna buy a new connection, so i was wondering if any1 has any idea how to hardwire it to the car. I have seen in the bottom compartment of the armrest that there is a connection to where i can connect the wire for the V1. yet i connect it and it supplies no power to my radar. If any1 has any idea how to hardwire the radar to the car in a simple way...plz help me out. thanx

On my '05 C230K, I have a Valentine mounted up by the rear view mirror and the wires for it running inside the reveal molding from there down the A-pillar (just tucked it in and it doesn't show) into the fuse box on the lower side of the dash. Simple. Just use a 12V tester and find something in there that works for you. I turn mine on and off since I used a hot 12V terminal and not an ignition controlled terminal, but I like it that way. Others may not because if you forget to turn it on, you have no protection, obviously. Anyway, works for me. I don't know if your year car is the same. Sorry. PS> These are GREAT radar locators. I've had mine for years and it has saved me countless times. But you knew that.
