I pulled the back seat headrest to the position it would be in if you wanted to use it but now it's locked in place, how do I unlock it so I can push it back away from blocking my view ?Any help would be apreciated.

I don't know what year C280 you have but mine a 99 has an electric headrest, the control is located where the seat controls are and is the smallest button, and adjust up and down. If you have this feature, you might have screwed up something by pulling on it. Look to see is you have a 3rd buttom. My seat controls and headrest button is on the door.

There is a button that releases the back seat headrests and returns them to the down position that you can push from the drivers seat, I'm thinking its up in the middle portion of the dash, I will have to check my 280 this afternoon to see which button it is and I can get back with you.

Yeah, especially since they don't label the things, just some odd pictures on the buttons that can be hard to read when they get some age on them. Of course the M-Class Mercedes are made right here in Alabama, and the new R class will be made in Alabama also. High tech German engineering in the Heart of Dixie. Who would have figured that?

Default Rear seat headrests

Thank you a million! My rear view mirror broke off when a friend twisted it towards her in the front passenger seat to check her makeup before a job interview I drove her to. So, until I can fix it, I need to use my visor mirror and the back head rest was in the way. Problem solved. Well, partially anyways. Now I can better see behind me as my side mirrors became parking lot shopping cart victims.
