Aux. engine fan/ relays/switch?
My (electric) auxillury engine fans stopped coming on in my c230 2000'. the dealer said there's no temp switch but only two relay's in the engine fuse box. what i wanted to knowwas what sends the signal to the relays to turn on the fans if the relay's aren't the problem? there's a temp sending switch on the engine but does it also feed to the fan relays? the fans are fine. they weren't giving me any answers.thanks jd

RE: Aux. engine fan/ relays/switch?
there is a fan control module on the frame of the car usually on the left side sort of close to the front of the car. a square box that controls the auxillaary fan. its metal and about 4-5 inches by 3-4 inches. they do go bad. also it could be the switches on the a/c reciever/drier that also control the fan.
