Default anyone got experience with carbon fiber sheets?

guys,
i have a 99' c280 that i have recently aquired and i am not feeling content with the faux carbon fiber finish that it came with. i want to put in some real carbon fiber sheets. not the vinyl. Hayame made a 0.2mm thickness sheets that seemed to be fitting my need. anyone had done this before? also, does this stuff work well when i get to the rounded ends of the pieces on the doors?
thanks much guys. let me know what u think. any input is appreicated.

the only carbon fiber that i am aware of requires a wet layup, an oven and several hundred degrees f. what type are you using? is it similar to those thin sheets of laminate, self adhesive metal that i saw on HGTV the other day? stainless, copper, gold, etc...

you can get carbon fiber in thin sheets, however it doesn't bend around corners well. It is good for smooth sweeping larger radii and bends, but going over the bends of a door edge is no good. I use carn fiber all the time and we mold it or laminate it as an overlay. I don't need heat with the vacuum infucion process. We just did a ton of work for the SEMA show and it all came out beautiful.

I know what you mean. It's not a good look. But recently I was told by an MB salesman that the interior carbon fiber trim is real carbon fiber. The exterior door trim, on the other had, is plastic look a like. Does anyone know if this is true?
Personally, my choice for the interior trim would be a satin finished, aluminium: perhaps slightly darkened so as not to stand out that much.
