Haven't been on here for some time but finally convinced the misses to go back to Merc!!
I've just picked up an 03 C180 k SE at a real good price, but it has one small annoying problem, there's a squeal coming from the back end that sounds very very similar to over adjusted parking brake shoes, or a scrape on the dust plate at the back of the discs. Due to weather over here at the moment I can't get out to have a good look at it and really can't tell or remember if the rear discs are also housing the parking brake shoes? Or does the parking brake operate via the caliper? Any help or advice appreciated.
